Description
Born on 24 May 1819, Alexandrina Victoria became Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland in 1837. Credited with playing a pivotal role in Britain’s progress during a time of rapid technological and social change, she ruled one of the largest empires in the world for more than 63 years.
The Australian legal tender $1 coin’s reverse depicts the effigy of Queen Victoria that featured on the Sydney Type II sovereign from 1857 to 1870.
The PNC features a pictorial postage paid envelope, the stamp area is postmarked with first day of issue 24 May 2019 Queen Park, WA 6107, a suburb named after Queen Victoria.
